No!  You will need to show registration at a higher education institution upon verification.  However, you are welcome to apply regardless of your current major.  For most questions however your answers will be more likely to be selected for the scholarship through demonstrating your understanding of Speech Language Pathology and related Communication Sciences and Disorders, however there is not a requirement to be a CSD or SLP related major as we encourage your interest in this profession and you may just find that by your thinking about and answering these questions -- you may one day see yourself also as a future SLP!!

High School Seniors with acceptance to a college, university or other higher education program through doctorate students are eligible to apply.  Undergraduate and Graduate students are encouraged to submit their entry answers. 

First, by adherence to the rules of your video being between 1-5 minutes in length with the beginning containing your name, reading the question, followed by your unique answer.  Entries are evaluated based on genuine answers, given clearly, portraying effort of thought, relatable, and understandable to a viewer and with demonstration of passion and appropriate knowledge for the profession.  

Our team limits entries to 5,000 per question to avoid review of unnecessary entries as we want the scholarship funding to be awarded to the most motivated and efficient students that prioritize daily entry into this scholarship.  The review process is time consuming and lengthy and by ensuring a healthy and reasonable limit to the entries we are able to provide scholarship funds most effectively.  To avoid missing your opportunity to enter before a question receives the 5,000 entries, sign up for the notification list to receive a notification when the next week's questions are released before they are posted.   

There is no guarantee of being awarded a scholarship.  The odds would equate to approximately 1 in 5,000 and be increased as you participate more through your non selected previous answers carrying over to future days by consistently submitting daily videos and catch up answers for those remaining.  While odds can be helpful to increase your chances, there is no guarantee of winning, just as in flipping a coin that just because the result is tails today that it is heads tomorrow.  Keep trying!  We want you to succeed as a new SLP too!!

Yes, you may submit a new video for any remaining open questions for a total of five entries per question.  The content must be unique and different than your previous entries for that question.  For some questions this will mean you can only submit one valid response.  However, for open ended questions, you may submit up to five entries if the question is still available to be answered as long as the five videos are all different in answer yet still genuine responses.  In order to preserve the integrity of submissions, after five unique video answers have been received, any further submissions for that question from a participant will not be considered valid.

Check your email and make sure our follow up award notice and verification process has not gone to your equivalent junk email box.  If you can not locate your email for your further directions on obtaining your scholarship monies, please email us at SLPOFTHEDAY@SLPSCHOLARS.COM  To avoid missing our emails make sure the weekly notifications that you have signed up for are not going to your junk email.

On the form if your video is too large of a file, or if your file is corrupted, you will need to rerecord your video question and answer and try to submit again.  If you continue to have problems sharing your video with us for your entry please email us at SLPOFTHEDAY@SLPSCHOLARS.COM  If you have trouble with the form you can instead of uploading, share your link with us in an email to your personal google drive location that you were able to save your file to and we will count it as a valid entry as long as the video meets the requirements and the email is received prior to 5,000 entry forms being submitted for that question.

After recording yourself stating your name, the question and your answer in a 1-5 minute video clip, enter your information and upload the video.  

Videos may not be made using artificial intelligence (AI), of other individuals besides yourself, or in any other manner so as to attempt to deceive or manipulate the identity of the submitting individual.  Upon being selected, validation and confirmation of identity will be performed to ensure funds are only distributed to qualified individuals and the legitimate awardee.

By submitting your video you give your full consent for SLP Scholars to utilize that video for research analysis.  Video submissions are both for entering in this venture as well as an ongoing SLP research project.  Videos should contain authentic dialect and be of genuine sincerity from each entrant.  The answered video becomes the property of the SLP Scholars and affiliates.  There is no guarantee of receiving a scholarship just by entering.  Entering is by the candidates own volition without expectation of compensation or reward.  SLP Scholars makes no promises or guarantees and provides a good faith effort to enable future SLP professionals to achieve their goals.  Participation is subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by SLP Scholars with Linguistic LLama as the sole arbitrator of any and all disputes.  No contract or other agreement is entered into by participating.  Submitting an entry is by the volition of the entrant without any expectation or further agreement entered into.  No monetary award is guaranteed or promised.

We advertised our move to our new website www.slpscholars.com for over a month as well as included new links in the daily notifications to have your bookmarks updated for all participants.  We regret to hear you didn't get proper notification of our move within Linguistic LLama to our new website here.  Unfortunately, if a question has received all entries it is no longer available to receive more entries for scholarship competition.  You are welcome to submit answers to assist with our research however and may be invited to additional scholarship opportunities for your dedication and commitment to this profession and our research.
